This item, handmade in the Ivory Coast, is for a set of 2 brass Baule beads. The design is a series of etched, concentric circles. They measure 60mm across the longest point with a radius of anywhere between 45 and 50mm. Because they are handmade, no two are exact, there may be some imperfections, and the size varies slightly. These beads are not merely decorative as they also serve as important cultural symbols - conveying messages about status, identity, and spirituality within Baule society.
