Created on a small farm in Connecticut, Fiber + Mud products are special. No. They are extra-special. This item is a 30ml glass bottle of water soluble handmade inks. They are meant to be used with dip pens and brushes and are not stable for use in fountain pens. These inks have so many uses in mixed media. Use it as is or water down. As ink is spread, it is semi-translucent, allowing the under layers to show through. The bottle should be shaken often and stored in a cool, dark place. Trust me when I say this ink is magic.
The inks come in 4 flavors...
Black Walnut Dye Ink: water soluble handmade dye ink made with organic black walnut hulls and clove oil as a preservative. For those scent-sensitive, it has a definite scent of cloves.
Cochineal Red Dye Ink: red, water soluble, handmade dye ink which contains cochineal (a parasite of the prickly pear), gum arabic, alum, tartaric acid and clove oil as a preservative. For those scent-sensitive, it has a definite scent.
Indigo Pigment Ink: water soluble indigo pigment ink made with organic indigo, gum arabic, water, wine, and clove oil as a preservative. For those scent-sensitive, it has a definite scent of cloves and alcohol.
Cochineal Purple Dye Ink: purple, water soluble, handmade dye ink contains cochineal (a parasite of the prickly pear), gum arabic, alum, and clove oil as a preservative. For those scent-sensitive, it has a definite scent.
