These beautiful elements from Africa are traditionally used as hair sticks but I can also imagine them being used as elements in mixed media art or assemblage, as bone folders for book making, or as decorative elements in the studio. They are bone and decorated with traditional tribal symbols. I have a total of six designs - one of each - and this item is for the one pictured. They differ in height slightly with the range being 6 to 6.75 inches.
